PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device where many types of vehicle information which can be transferred are reserved.SOLUTION: A display device 100, which is provided in a vehicle, comprises a segment display unit 71 which displays a character by combination of ON/OFF at a plurality of segments 72a-72g. A display control circuit 80 acquires vehicle information from apparatuses 91-93 mounted in the vehicle and generates an information code IC assigned to the vehicle information in advance. The display control circuit 80 makes the segment display unit 71 display the generated information code IC. For the information code IC displayed as such, non-characters different from characters such as numbers or alphabets are assigned to respective patterns of combination of ON/OFF at segments 72a-72g. Thus, types of vehicle information assignable to the information code IC are reserved.
