PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of managing a network to provide for the automated delivery of managed services.SOLUTION: A method includes the steps of: receiving an activation key (200) transmitted from a device connected to the network; automatically transmitting a configuration to the device (210); automatically maintaining the configuration of the device (220); and receiving log information from the device (230). A method includes the steps of: automatically setting a default configuration for a device; automatically generating an activation key associated with the device; and automatically transmitting a provisioned configuration to the device after the device is connected to the network.
