PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To satisfactorily excavate the ground without swinging an auger head even when the ground is hard.SOLUTION: An auger device 5 includes an auger casing 1, an auger screw 3 at least partially disposed in the auger casing 1 and an auger head 4 provided in a distal end of the auger screw 3 and having an outer diameter larger than that of the auger casing 1. In the auger device 5, a space filling member 1a having thickness in contact with a wall surface of a hole excavated by the auger head 4 during excavation of the ground is provided on an outer surface of the auger casing 1, thereby regulating attitudes of the auger screw 3 and the auger casing 1 so as to prevent an axial center of the auger screw 3 excavating the ground from being tilted. Thus, even when the ground is hard, the ground can be satisfactorily excavated without swinging the auger head 4. |
