A method, system, and devices are provided that create a network over existing power lines. Two or more modules can establish the network for two or more devices in communication with each other. The modules include components that register device(s) and determine the processing of the data signal being sent over the power line network.

a power line; a first device; a first receive/send module in communication with the first device and the power line; a second device; a second receive/send module in communication with the second device and the power line; and wherein the first device and second device communicate by sending data through the first and second receive/send modules and over the power line.
