The present invention relates to a color wheel having a balancing device. The balancing device comprises a circular guide and at least two balancing weights disposed thereon and movable therealong. The mobility of the balancing weights is limited such that they do not move under their own weight. The invention also relates to a method for balancing the color wheel. First, according to said method, the balancing weights are disposed on the guide such that the center of gravity of the balancing weight system formed by the same rests on the rotational axis of the color wheel. Then the out-of-balance is measured and the position to which the center of gravity of the balancing weight system is moved to reach the determined position is determined by moving the balancing weights along the guide. |
