PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery whose size is prevented from being increased by an overlapping margin of an insulation sheet in the secondary battery formed by winding an insulation sheet around the peripheral side surface of a container.SOLUTION: A battery can 101 is formed in a substantially rectangular cross sectional shape having a pair of wide surfaces 101a and a pair of narrow surfaces 101b. In a coupling part where the wide surface 101a and the narrow surface 101b are coupled with each other, a coupling ridge part 110A is formed which has a circular arc-shaped cross-section. A winding start end 11a of an insulation sheet 10A and a winding finish end 11b are arranged in the coupling ridge part 110A and an overlapping margin 12 is formed in the coupling ridge part 110A. |
