<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving support device and a driving support method capable of changing the warning issued to a driver according to the travelling circumstance of a vehicle.SOLUTION: A driving support ECU 1 detects a compartment line of a travelling lane using an image of the travelling lane in the front of a vehicle imaged by a camera 2, sets a virtual compartment line in the line where no compartment line exists, controls the vehicle and performs the driving support on the basis of the compartment line and the virtual compartment line, and notifies a driver of a warning when the vehicle deviates from the virtual compartment line. The driving support ECU 1 detects a state of the vehicle, calculates information indicating the state as vehicle information and the driving support is released when the vehicle information satisfies a predetermined release condition, and prohibits the warning when the driving support is released.</p> |
