This antenna device (1) is equipped with a dielectric substrate (2), a patch antenna (5) which is formed on a surface of the dielectric substrate (2), and parasitic components for absorbing electric power (21, 24) which are formed on the surface of the dielectric substrate (2). The parasitic components for absorbing electric power (21, 24) are provided on the surface of the dielectric substrate (2) at positions between the end parts in the main polarization direction of the patch antenna (5) and the patch antenna (5). A part of a radio wave transmitted/received by the patch antenna (5) is absorbed by the parasitic components for absorbing electric power (21, 24), and thus a surface current which flows in a conductor plate (front-side conductor plate (3) or rear-side conductor plate (4)), which is provided on the dielectric substrate (2), toward the end of the substrate is suppressed. |
