<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine capable of suitably securing the output of a waste heat recovery device which has stirling engines relatively arranged on the upstream and downstream sides of an exhaust passage part.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1A includes an exhaust pipe 110, a waste heat recovery device 10A, and an ECU 70A. The waste heat recovery device 10A is provided in the exhaust pipe 110. The waste heat recovery device 10A includes stirling engines 11, 12, and a crank shaft 61 for taking out the outputs of the respective stirling engines 11, 12. The stirling engines 11, 12 include cylinders 20, 30, respectively. When a load is lower than a predetermined valueα, the ECU 70A reduces the output of the stirling engine 12 to be synthesized with the output of the waste heat recovery device 10A.</p> |
