The present invention addresses the problem of achieving a low-loss, small-sized, low-cost isolating transmission medium that transmits electromagnetic energy between circuits having different reference potentials and that has high isolation reliability. The present invention relates to a communication apparatus using radio waves between a rotor and a stator to perform two-way communications between at least one rotor communication device disposed on the rotor and a single stator communication device disposed on the stator. In the communication apparatus using radio waves between the rotor and the stator, the stator communication device is connected to a plurality of stator antennas, while the rotor communication device is connected to at least one rotor antenna. The stator antennas and rotor antenna are oriented, on the stator and rotor, respectively, in such a manner that the radiation plane of each of the stator antennas is opposed to the radiation plane of the rotor antenna. The rotor communication device comprises a signal intensity detection unit that detects the signal intensity of a signal. The stator communication device comprises: a phase angle adjustment unit that increases or reduces, by phase shift amounts, the phase angles of the signals such that the signal intensities are equal to or greater than a predetermined value; a phase angle control unit that controls the phase angle adjustment unit to increase or reduce by the phase shift amounts; and a division/combination unit that divides or combines the signals. |
