PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel compound which is highly stable in the atmosphere and is suitable as an organic semiconductor material, and to provide a semiconductor device and a display device using the compound.SOLUTION: There are provided: the compound represented by general formula (1) (wherein Rto Rare each independently a hydrogen atom, a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, a mercapto group, a nitro group, an amino group, or one of an aromatic group, an alkoxy group, an aromatic oxy group, an alkyl-substituted amino group, an aromatic-substituted amino group, an acyl group, and a C1-C20 aliphatic hydrocarbon group each of which may have a substituent); a field effect transistor provided with an organic semiconductor layer containing the compound; and an array for a display device provided with the field effect transistor as a switching element.
