Since a threshold value for each driving mode of the vehicle set according to driving acceleration of the vehicle is set, each sensitivity for the pattern information about the upward and downward impact quantities, the front and rear impact quantities, and the left and right impact quantities of the acceleration sensor are variably adjusted according to the threshold value to detect the accident situation, thereby further efficiently discriminating the accident situation, especially, at low speed. Since the pattern information about the upward and downward impact quantities, the front and rear impact quantities, and the left and right impact quantities of the acceleration sensor, and the pattern information about the sound and photographed image around the vehicle match to the pattern information in phases to filter non-accident situations, the accident situation is detected to increase the speed of detecting the accident situation, and resources required to detect the accident situation are reduced.
