A burner apparatus (A1-A3) discharges primary combustion air guided by a primary air guide tube (11) and combustion exhaust gas to burn fuel guided by a fuel guide tube (12) in a primary combustion chamber (13) through a first nozzle portion (16) to the inside (1a) of a furnace (1) and discharges secondary combustion air heated in a regenerator (20) by a secondary air guide tube (22) to the inside of the furnace through a second nozzle portion (23) near to the first nozzle portion. The burner apparatus contracts the first nozzle portion toward the inside of the furnace and controls the amount of the fuel guided by the fuel guide tube, the primary combustion air guided by the primary air guide tube, and the secondary combustion air guided by the secondary air guide tube according to the inner temperature of the furnace.
