<p>The present invention relates to a system for treating ballast water and a method for controlling same, and more specifically, to a smart electrolysis system for treating ballast water capable of supplying an optimal amount of a neutralizing agent and a method for controlling same, in which a neutralizing agent supply portion can supply the amount of the neutralizing agent required for neutralizing a residual oxidizing agent in the ballast water even during the initial stage of discharging the ballast water, by measuring in real time without delay the concentration of the residual oxidizing agent in the ballast water that is discharged from a ballast tank, thereby preventing ballast water from containing more than an allowed discharge oxidizing agent concentration during the initial stage of discharging the ballast water, or excessive use of the neutralizing agent, and thus is very economical and eco-friendly.</p> |
