A foot gauge having a main body with a planar surface 21 for receiving a sole of a foot which is placed with the heel against an end abutment 18 and one side against a side abutment 19. The surface 21 cooperates with a touch screen of a data processing device and the toe end and opposite side of the foot can be traced on to the touch screen with a stylus. Preferably the side abutments arc movable in a lengthwise direction. The surface of the gauge immediately above the touchscreen may comprise an aperture, or a transparent window formed of a touch screen compatible material. The touchscreen may be part of a removable computer device, or tablet. The touchscreen may be receivable in a cradle which is detachable from the main body. Also claimed is a method of using such a footgauge. |
