A sequential gear selector for a synchromesh gearbox used in motor vehicle that consists of hand operated gear lever that moves in a single plane. The gear lever changes to a higher gear when moved rearwards which can be repeated. To change to a lower gear the lever is moved forward. This can also be repeated. The gear system will preferably use a ratchet and cam mechanism where the cam will preferably be triangular. |
