PURPOSE: A frequency sensitive type base valve assembly is provided to improve ride comfort by lowering the damping force when high frequency vibration is transferred from a road surface to a vehicle. CONSTITUTION: A frequency sensitive type base valve assembly(1) includes a base valve body(6) provided with a compression passage(21) and a tension passage(22), an impact valve body(4) installed to be movable upward from the upper part of the base valve body, and an elastic member pressurizing the impact valve body to keep the closed state of a through hole(3) formed in an inner tube(2). In case of the compression stroke of a shock absorber, the impact valve body makes relative displacement against the base valve body to open the through hole, and an additional passage is formed in the inner tube to make working fluids flow through the opened part of the through hole. |
