Electronic devices with preselected operational characteristics and associated methods are disclosed. The electronic devices can include a touch sensing component that senses a touch from an input mechanism and an input circuitry that measures at least one parameter of the touch from the touch sensing component. The electronic devices can also include a processor that performs an analysis of the measured at least one parameter of the detected touch and implements preselected operational characteristics of the electronic device based on the performed analysis.

1. An electronic device, comprising:
a touch sensing component that senses a touch from an input mechanism; an input circuitry that periodically measures samples of a position of the sensed touch, a pressure of the sensed touch, a temperature of the sensed touch, or an image of the sensed touch from the touch sensing component; a storage that stores each periodically measured sample of the parameter from the input circuitry; and a processor configured to:
determine a number of stored periodically measured samples,compare the number of stored periodically measured samples to a preset threshold value,upon determining that the number of stored periodically measured samples is equal to or greater than the threshold value, perform an analysis of the stored periodically measured samples, andimplement preselected operational characteristics of the electronic device based on the performed analysis.
