A voice recognition method using the estimation of a speaker distance according to the present invention includes a step (510) of allowing a voice recognition apparatus to estimate a speaker distance between a speaker and a voice recognition apparatus by using the face image of the speaker which is photographed by a camera, a step (520) of allowing the voice recognition apparatus to control a level with regard to the voice of the speaker based on a difference between a reference distance and a speaker distance, and a step (530) of allowing the voice recognition apparatus to perform voice recognition by using controlled voice.
