Scenedesmus sp. M001 producing biodiesel, and method for producing biodiesel using the strain

PURPOSE: A method for producing biodiesel using Scenedesmus M001 is provided to enhance carbon dioxide fixation ability and lipid and fatty acid productivity. CONSTITUTION: A method for producing biodiesel comprises: a step of culturing Scenedesmus Y831 and treating with ethyl methanesulfonate(EMS) to induce mutation; and a step of culturing mutated Scenedesmus and isolating lipid and fatty acid from culture liquid. The Scenedesmus is Scenedesmus M001(KCTC 11777BP). The fatty acid composition of Scenedesmus M001 is similar with the composition of Scenedesmus Y831.
