Crosslinked rubber composition comprises at least one ethylene propylene diene terpolymer type elastomer and 100 parts by weight per hundred parts (phr) of elastomer of one phase change material. The phase change material is dispersed in the crosslinked rubber composition and is provided with protection means adapted for preventing dispersion at a temperature above its melting point. The composition has a tensile strength of greater than 3 MPa and/or an elongation at break of greater than 100% measured according to ASTM D 412 at 23[deg] C. Independent claims are included for: (1) a multi-layered hose for fluid transfer comprising internal radial layer (10), external radial layers (16) and an intermediate layer (12) radially arranged between the internal and external radial layers, where the intermediate layer is made of rubber composition and the internal and external layers are based on ethylene propylene diene terpolymer type elastomer; and (2) preparing the composition comprising hot mixing the elastomer and the phase change material in an internal mixer in the presence of a crosslinking system that comprises crosslinked composition, and transforming the crosslinked composition by an injection molding or extrusion.
