<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize low-cost coal liquefaction, cracking of heavy oil into light oil and low-grade coal reformation by means of hydrogen which is obtained by electrolysis of water using electric power generated by a nuclear power station and heat and gamma rays produced in a nuclear reactor.SOLUTION: A coal liquefaction system, a system for cracking heavy oil into light oil and a low-grade coal reformation system are provided with a molten salt reactor nuclear power station including a molten salt nuclear reactor which uses a fluoride of uranium U235, plutonium Pu239 or uranium U233 as a nuclear fission fuel. Hydrogen produced by electrolysis of water using electric power generated by the molten salt nuclear power station and/or heat produced in the molten salt nuclear reactor are utilized. "Coal or heavy oil" in a slurry form is irradiated with gamma rays in a high-temperature storage vessel surrounding the molten salt nuclear reactor.</p> |
