PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by switching illumination operation according to the movement of an object.SOLUTION: A camera apparatus 100 emits a beam of non-visible light to an object 10 to take an image of the object 10. An irradiation part 150 performs a first operation to irradiate the object 10 with a beam of non-visible light which has plural different wavelengths and a second operation with power consumption smaller than that of the first operation. A sensor unit 112 receives the light which is reflected at the object 10 and collected by an imaging optical part 111 to take an image of the object 10. When the control unit 101 detects that the object 10 is still based on taken image data of the object 10, the control unit 101 controls the irradiation part 10 to perform the second operation.
