<p>A video display device according to an embodiment is equipped with a first decoder, a second decoder, a control unit and a display unit. The first decoder receives first encoded video data via a first transmission channel, and generates a first video by decoding the first encoded video data at a first speed. When the first encoded video data is received earlier than second encoded video data, the control unit controls the first speed so as to produce an interval in which the first speed is less than 1x speed and which occurs before the second time information of the second decoder catches up to the first time information of the first decoder. When the first encoded video data is received earlier than the second encoded video data, the display unit displays the first video at the first speed until the second time information catches up to the first time information.</p> |
