PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid-state image pickup device capable of reducing gain error and analog-digital conversion error when acquiring signals amplified in different gains.SOLUTION: A solid-state image pickup device includes: a plurality of pixels (101) arranged in a matrix form for generating signals by means of photo-electric conversion; a reference signal input section (107) for generating a reference signal; column amplifiers (102-1, 102-2) disposed in each column of the plurality of pixels for outputting first signals obtained by amplifying the signals of the plurality of pixels or the reference signal with a first gain and second signals obtained by amplifying the signals of the plurality of pixels or the reference signal with a second gain which is greater than the first gain; an analog-digital conversion section for converting the first signal into a first digital signal and the second signal into a second digital signal; and a correction section for performing a correction processing so that the gain error of the first digital signal and the second digital signal whose gain level had been equalized can be reduced.
