The present invention relates to a direct injection-type injector for a diesel engine. The direct injection-type injector for a diesel engine comprises: a housing having an installation space therein; a needle valve part installed at the lower side of the housing and injecting fuel through an injection hole; a solenoid part generating an electromagnetic force by receiving power; and a spool valve part moving a piston up and down by the electromagnetic force which is generated by the solenoid part so that the needle valve part can be opened or closed, wherein the solenoid part and the spool valve part are arranged at the upper side of the housing. According to the present invention, the direct injection-type injector for a diesel engine allows the solenoid part and the spool valve part to be arranged at the upper side of the housing so that the size and the shape of a chamber positioned at the upper side of the cylinder block and filled with the fuel can be easily varied.
