摘要 This controller is applied to a hybrid vehicle including an internal combustion engine capable of switching between lean and stoichiometric combustion modes. The controller executes noise suppression control for limiting the operating point of the internal combustion engine to a lean combustion noise suppression line (LnvL) or a stoichiometric combustion noise suppression line (LnvS) so that the noise produced by a power transmission mechanism is suppressed. When switching from lean combustion to stoichiometric combustion during execution of the noise suppression control, the controller varies the air-fuel ratio after changing the operating point of the internal combustion engine from point (B) to point (B') on the lower torque side of the noise suppression line (LnvL). The controller transitions the operating point of the internal combustion engine from point (C') after the air-fuel ratio variation to point (A) on the noise suppression line (LnvS).
