摘要 Provided are: a driving device for semiconductor elements, which can protect a semiconductor element rapidly when a short-circuit occurs; and a semiconductor device. The driving device for semiconductor elements is provided with a drive circuit section, a charging circuit section and an interruption circuit section. The charging circuit section is electrically connected to an external circuit provided with a diode and a capacitance element. The semiconductor element is provided with a first electrode, a second electrode and a control terminal. The drive circuit section is so adapted as to drive the semiconductor element by generating a driving signal from an input signal and giving the driving signal to the control terminal. In the diode, a cathode is connected to the first electrode. In the capacitance element, one of terminals is connected to the cathode of the diode and the other of the terminals is connected to the second electrode. The charging circuit section is so adapted as to put the capacitance element into a rapidly chargeable state after a timing at which the voltage of the capacitance element agrees with a saturation voltage when the input signal is an ON signal. The interruption circuit section is so adapted as to interrupt the supply of the driving signal to the control terminal by the drive circuit section when the voltage of the capacitance element reaches a threshold value.
