Planar heating element (1) based on prepreg, comprises an electric polymer heating fabric (2) and strip-shaped electrodes (3) spaced apart depending on the desired heating effect of the heating element, which are arranged on or in the heating fabric at desired locations and have electrical contact surfaces (4), in which composite resins are laid as prepreg.
