<p>Provided are a receiving device that is configured so as to quantitatively and variably control the gain of an antenna amplifier unit in order to allow the flexibility in controlling sound volume to be improved and a control method for the receiving device. The receiving device is configured such that the gain of a front-end unit (31), which functions as an antenna amplifier unit, is variably controlled in predetermined units by an AGC circuit (40) on the basis of a radio wave reception level, and the sound volume is corrected using a different correction amount for each gain at the front-end unit (31) by a second sound volume correction section (48) of a tuner DSP (46).</p> |
