<p>Provided is a seat such that it is possible to adjust the seat height by means of a simple configuration. A planar support member (150) is provided to the rear surface side of the cushion member for a seat cushion section, and by means of adjusting the magnitude of tension of the planar support member (150) by means of a reeling-in mechanism (160), the perimeter of the planar support member (150) between a front beam (112) and a rear beam (113) is altered, by which means it is possible to adjust the seat height of a seat occupant. It is possible to alter the seat height merely by adjusting the magnitude of the perimeter of the planar support member (150) without a structure for raising/lowering the cushion frame itself, and so the structure is simple and it is possible to suppress the hip point to a low point. Consequently, the present invention is particularly suited for being used in the seat of a sports automobile for which a low hip point is called for.</p> |
