1. A method for making a polymer interlayer, comprising:
a) extruding a first poly(vinyl butyral) melt to form a poly(vinyl butyral) sheet; and b) co-extruding a second poly(vinyl butyral) melt to form a first skin layer on the surface of said poly(vinyl butyral) sheet, wherein said second melt contains a first performance enhancing agent and wherein said first skin layer has a thickness of less than 0.15 millimeters and wherein said first melt is substantially free of said performance enhancing agent. |
