The exhaust gas routing system has an outlet channel for the exhaust gas stream (2) flowing out from the turbine wheel, where the outlet channel has an inner through opening for the turbine shaft to enclose the turbine shaft radially from outside. The outlet channel has a spiral channel, which opens in the tubular cross section and extends around the through opening for the turbine shaft. The spiral channel has an interruption in the circumferential direction. An independent claim is included for a turbo compound system with an internal combustion engine.
