<p>The present invention relates to a device for culturing water fleas utilized for a water toxicity test. The water flea culturing device according to the present invention includes a first container which forms a space to receive a culture medium for culturing water fleas and includes the open top; a second container which is joined to the upper part of the first container to be detached and of which the lateral surface is closed to be continued to the container when being joined and on which first separation holes where only young water fleas can pass are formed on the bottom surface; and a third container which is inserted into the second container to adhere to the bottom surface and the inner surface of the second container and which includes second separation holes at the planar positions of the bottom surface corresponding to the first separation holes and opens and closes the first and second separation holes via a relative twisting motion in respect to the second container. If the young water fleas are moved to the third container when the first and second separation holes are opened and the culture medium is filled in the first, second, and the third containers, the first and second separation holes are mutually closed by the twisting motion of the third container in respect to the second container, and the second container is separated from the first container by a separation motion of the second container from the first container while the young water fleas and the culture medium are received in the third container.</p> |
