<p>The invention relates to a sharpening device (10) for the blade of a cutting tool, comprising a plate-shaped base body (12) which has a guide slot (14) for a blade to be sharpened. Sharpening bars (20, 22) are pivotably mounted on the base body, on both sides of the guide slot (14). The sharpening bars (20, 22) each have two sharpening bar arms (20a, 20b, 22a, 22b) that are connected to each other at one end, wherein the sharpening bars (20, 22) can pivot out of their respective rest position by means of a pressure against an elastic return spring force created by an elastic deformation, in particular torsion, of the sharpening bars (20, 22) when the blade is introduced into the guide slot (14). The sharpening bars (20, 22) grip the base body (12) in each case with their two sharpening bar arms (20a, 20b, 22a, 22b), wherein the sharpening bars (20, 22) are, according to the invention, each pivotably mounted on the base body (12) with only one of their sharpening bar arms (20a, 22b) and are only supported on the base body (12) by the other respective sharpening bar arm (20a, 22b).</p> |
