Disclosed is a composite slot die that can realize thin coating and can maintain the thickness of coating despite external factors or change in the viscosity of coating liquid. The disclosed composite slot die comprises separated first and second blocks to form a slot extending in the widthwise direction of an object to be coated, and coats the object to be coated by discharging the coating liquid through the slot. Coating is conducted by moving the composite slot die relatively from the second block toward the first block with respect to the object to be coated when the coating liquid is discharged through the slot. The composite slot die further comprises a Mayer bar installed on the second block to determine the coating thickness of the coating liquid discharged onto the surface of the object to be coated through the slot. The Mayer bar includes a central stick extending in the widthwise direction of the object to be coated; and a wire wound compactly in the lengthwise direction of the central stick. |
