The present invention relates to a sensor device of a hands-free trunk module (HFTM) system and an operation method thereof. According to the present invention, the sensor device of the HFTM system is characterized by sensing a proximate object of a vehicle using a capacitive sensor and correctly sensing a specific motion of the sensed proximate object using a microwave sensor, thereby enabling a trunk to be automatically opened. According to the present invention, it is possible to improve recognition rate of a specific motion of a proximate object, automatically open a trunk based on information of the recognition of the specific motion of the proximate object, thereby enhancing the convenience of use. Additionally, initial electricity consumption for driving the system may be minimized. Also, the sensor device of the present invention may be integrated with an SMK system of another company since sensor sensing is performed before fob authentication. |
