The invention relates to a method for the deformation prevention of bearing ring elements. Exemplary embodiments relate to a method for pre- and final mounting of two bearing ring elements (11-1, 11-2; 13-1; 13-2) of a bearing ring (11; 13) that is divided in an axis-normal dividing plane (16). During pre-mounting, a receiving space (17) for an activatable expansion material (18) is formed into an end face of at least one of the bearing ring elements (11-1, 11-2; 13-1; 13-2), which end face lies in the dividing plane (16), the activatable expansion material (18) is introduced into the receiving space (17), and a force-fitting coupling of the bearing ring elements is produced, wherein an axial gap (41) remains between the two pre-mounted bearing ring elements, which gap can be closed during final mounting. During final mounting, the end faces of the pre-mounted bearing ring elements (11-1, 11-2; 13-1; 13-2) are aligned in a desired relative position relative to one another, and an additional form-fitting and/or material connection of the aligned bearing ring elements (11-1, 11-2; 13-1; 13-2) is produced by activating the activatable expansion material (18) in the receiving space (17; 17-1; 17-2). |
