<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for detecting and identifying silent failure of each network apparatus connected to a network.SOLUTION: A network monitoring system includes a fault apparatus identification server (analysis server) 24 for collecting location information and failure declaration information indicative of a communication state from a plurality of user terminals 10, and based on the statistic information thereof, identifying a network apparatus 71 or 72 that causes communication failure in a network to be monitored. The analysis server 24 periodically acquires the failure declaration information to estimate a district having an increased number of origination of the failure declaration information, and to extract a failure increase point which is location information corresponding to the estimated district. By the collation of the extracted failure increase point with configuration data indicative of the location of the network apparatus in the network to be monitored, the analysis server identifies a communication failure suspect apparatus (for example, the network apparatus 71 or 72) corresponding to the failure increase point.</p> |
