PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method that is configured for correcting a straight shaving cutter.SOLUTION: A straight shaving cutter correction method is configured for correcting a straight shaving cutter by a grind tool. The straight shaving cutter includes a plurality of helical teeth arranged and spaced apart to each other, and the helical teeth comprise the side to be machined. The correction method includes the steps of: positioning the straight shaving cutter in a gear molding grinder; bringing the side to be machined into contact with the grind tool; moving the straight shaving cutter into action by a variable rotation rate and a first variable movement amount; moving the grind tool on a second variable movement amount, and bringing the grind tool into a helical motion to the straight shaving cutter; and causing the correction work to be carried out to the side to be machined. Thereby, the existing gear molding grinder is applied to the machining of the straight shaving cutter, and a machining speed is accelerated. |
