Disclosed are a method and an apparatus for constructing a cyber cemetery and a great man/dead person memorial platform based on Web 2.0 virtual augmented reality. A memorial system includes a virtual reality construction part for constructing a national/provincial cemetery as a virtual reality based on a Web 2.0; an interface providing part for providing a Web 2.0 based dead person memorial interface in case the position of the national/provincial cemetery is selected on a position-based numerical digital map; and an information providing part for providing information of the dead person through the dead person memorial interface. The dead person memorial interface can provide an ancestral ritual formalities service and a memorial service using images, videos and avatars on the basis of the national/provincial cemetery constructed in the virtual reality.
