The system (1) has a switch (2) to disconnect a connection between a high voltage energy storage battery (3), and a high voltage network (4), where the switch is integrated in a housing. A high voltage input (6) and a high voltage output (7) are connected to the switch. A compartment stores a movable plug inserted in a high voltage circuit in upstream or downstream of the high voltage battery with respect to the network before starting assembly operations. The plug is disassembled at end of assembly operations for re-use of the system for assembling a vehicle.
