PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display apparatus that is able to improve image quality.SOLUTION: A display device comprises: a display section having a plurality of display pixels including a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, and a third sub-pixel, all of which emit basic color light, and a fourth sub-pixel that emits color light other than the basic color light; and a processing section configured to obtain a plurality of pieces of first brightness information corresponding to a plurality of fourth sub-pixels included in a pixel area to which a target pixel among the plurality of display pixels belongs, and second brightness information corresponding to the fourth sub-pixel of the target pixel based on the relative position of the first and fourth sub-pixels among the display pixels, and to substitute the second brightness information for the first brightness information corresponding to the fourth sub-pixel of the target pixel. |
