The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for printing a document to automatically solve a paper jam. The method for printing a document according to an embodiment of the present invention includes the steps of: stopping print when a paper jam is detected, transferring the detected paper from a print direction to a direction opposite to the print direction to automatically remove the paper jam, discharging the transferred paper again to the print direction, and performing a reprinting process if the reprinting process is necessary. |
