PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an oscillator synchronization effect by means of a waveform data reading method without compromising a product cost.SOLUTION: A CPU performs: determining a pitch on the basis of a string with which a picking has been detected and a fret located where the string has been pressed; starting operation of repeatedly reading an equivalent of one cycle of a master waveform and a slave wave form that are in mutually different cycle at a speed corresponding to the determined pitch, in response to the detection of picking, and also generating a musical tone of a wave form obtained by reading a start timing of repeatedly reading the slave waveform synchronously with a start timing of repeatedly reading the master waveform; detecting a vibration pitch of the string with which the picking has been detected; and correcting, on the basis of the detected vibration pitch, a pitch to be used for generating a musical tone. |
