<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology with which deleting processing can be efficiently performed in an image forming apparatus capable of performing deleting processing.SOLUTION: According to an embodiment, generally, an image forming apparatus comprises: image forming means; deleting means; operation input means; and control means. The image forming means forms an image on a sheet to be subjected to image forming processing. The deleting means deletes an image on a sheet to be subjected to deleting processing. The operation input means accepts operation input. The control means receives, in a power saving mode for reducing power supply to the image forming means and the deleting means, input as to which of a normal mode in which the image forming processing can be performed and the deleting processing can be performed and a deleting mode in which the image forming processing cannot be performed and the deleting processing can be performed, the image forming apparatus is recovered, via the operation input means.</p> |
