The system has grippers (10) comprising a gripper upper part (12) and a gripper base part (13). The gripper base part comprises a retaining chamber (14) for retaining a pump. A locking unit (15) is formed for fastening the pump in the retaining chamber at the gripper base part. The locking unit is movably guided into guide plates (18) of the gripper upper part. The locking units comprise two guide arms (21a, 21b) that are spaced-apart from each other. A free end (23a) of the guide arms is provided with clamping portions (22a, 22b). An independent claim is also included for a method for transporting a pump.
