PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braided packing that prevents fray of a cut part in a braided packing used in a seal between solid members and has excellent sealability especially under a high temperature condition, and provide a manufacturing method thereof.SOLUTION: A braided packing, in which a thread in which many bundles of inorganic fiber are converged is braided, is used in a seal between solid members containing: one or more kinds of powder or granule (A) selected from paraffin, polyethylene glycol, polyethylene oxide and polyvinyl pyrrolidone, and one or more kinds of powder (B) selected from titanium oxide, alumina, talc, mica, clay and calcium carbonate. |
