<p>A relay server whereby traffic between the relay server and a client device is significantly reduced and the network band reduction rate is improved comprises: a connection means for carrying out a communication; a cache means for storing content data; and a control means for, upon receiving a content data acquisition request from the client device, having the connection means transmit an acquisition request to an origin server, and, upon receiving an acquisition response from the origin server corresponding to the acquisition request, having the connection means transmit an acquisition response including the content data to the client device. When a cache attribute which is included in the acquisition response which is received from the origin server is set to not possible to cache, the control means changes the cache attribute to possible to cache, stores the content data with the cache means, and has the connection means transmit to the client device an acquisition request including the content data with the cache attribute set to possible to cache.</p> |
