The invention relates to a transport device for easily fixing to a vehicle frame element, comprising at least two parallel braces. The transport device has the following: a luggage receiving area; at least one lateral part; at least one first supporting element which is fixed to the lateral part and which has at least one first depression for at least partly receiving a first brace, said first supporting element being rigidly fixed to the lateral part and the first depression pointing in a first direction; at least one second supporting element which is fixed to the lateral part and which has a second depression for at least partly receiving a second brace, said second supporting element being fixed to the lateral part in a pivotal manner about a pivot axis so as to be movable between an open position and a closed position, wherein the second depression points in a second direction 180° opposite the first direction when the second supporting element is in the closed position, and the second supporting element moves about the pivot axis from the point of view of the first supporting element when the second supporting element is moved between the open position and the closed position; at least one latch which is rigid relative to the second supporting element and which is fixed to the lateral part in a pivotal manner together with said supporting element; and at least one locking unit which is fixed to the lateral part and which has a stationary part and a pivotal part, said pivotal part being movable between a closed position and an open position and in the closed position being capable of locking the latch in a closed position of the second supporting element. |
